Ifremer (the French national institute for ocean science) launched a tender to replace the navigation, data acquisition and data display systems of its vessels “Gwen Drez”, “Thalia” and “Europe”. Magic Instinct Software was selected to install, by the end of the year, two complete configurations per vessel: one on the bridge, the other for the scientists.

The configuration is based on the Olex navigation software, running on Linux. Additional modules developed by M.I.S. will record and display the various on-board sensors, in particular the trawl instrumentation from Géonet, [Scanmar](http://www.scanmar.no/) and Marelec.
